In many organisations, “HR” is one person or a very small team. You are hiring, firefighting, running payroll, handling complaints and trying to build an inclusive organisation at the same time. You care about inclusion, but you do not have a team of subject matter experts, a big budget or endless hours to design the perfect program.
In this practical session, Dr Jonathan Ashong‑Lamptey will focus on what inclusion looks like when you are the whole HR department. He will share a simple way to choose where to start, how to talk about inclusion with leaders who are focused on “just making the numbers”, and how to design small, low‑risk experiments that fit real‑world constraints. The emphasis is on clarity, practicality and actions HR can take in the next 90 days without burning out.

About Our Presenter: Dr Jonathan Ashong-Lamptey (Joining us virtually)
Dr Jonathan Ashong‑Lamptey is the founder of The Element of Inclusion and host of the Element of Inclusion podcast, the longest running inclusion podcast in the world, with over 425 episodes trusted by leaders in 166 countries.
He helps senior HR and People leaders in small and mid sized organisations turn inclusion from a vague aspiration into an operational capability that leaders can see and measure.
Dr Jonathan focuses on building credible business cases, defining indicators leaders trust, and designing minimum viable inclusion systems that fit how organisations actually work.
He has advised large organisations such as Meta, Conde Nast, Sony Pictures and NatWest, as well as smaller firms with global reach like The Blair Partnership, who carry global brands without the luxury of dedicated Diversity and Inclusion teams; but still face real pressure to show progress.
His approach is evidence based, practical and designed to give busy HR teams simple decisions and actions they can take in the next 90 days.
